First Meeting Consultation
Understanding Comes Before Treatment
Except for people who come to me immediately after an injury, most people seek my help because they have been living with health concerns that remain confusing, even after receiving previous treatment.
Many have already worked with dedicated physicians or therapists who genuinely tried to help them. I encourage people not to blame those professionals. Different practitioners have different training, experience, and ways of understanding the body. Every treatment experience may contribute something valuable.
Knowledge is complementary.
Sometimes what you need is not another opinion, but another perspective.
During our first consultation, I carefully review your symptoms, health history, previous treatments, and the changes you have experienced over time. Together, we build a shared understanding of your condition before deciding on the next step.
I spend time on this process because I want us to be on the same page. When we share the same understanding of your condition, your goals, and how we will evaluate progress, we can work together more effectively.
I also believe that healing is not something a practitioner simply does for you. Recovery is a process that we learn to understand together.
One important part of my work is helping you learn how to observe changes in your own body. Depending on your individual situation, I may teach you how to observe changes in your tongue, the veins beneath your tongue, your nails, your movement, your breathing, your sleep, or other signs that help us better understand how your body is responding.
Sometimes you may not yet feel a significant improvement, but your body may already be changing. Learning how to recognize these subtle changes can provide valuable information about your recovery.
Over the next few days or weeks, I encourage you to continue observing your body. Please don't wait until a problem becomes serious before contacting me. Small changes often provide important clues. If something concerns you, or if you notice an unexpected change, please feel free to contact me by phone, text, or email.
Every person heals differently. Some people respond quickly, while others need more time. The body heals according to its own timing—not according to a fixed treatment schedule.
For that reason, I do not believe every person should receive exactly the same treatment plan for the same length of time. Instead, I observe how your body responds and adjust treatment accordingly. In more complex situations, I may recommend more frequent follow-up visits or treatment adjustments because even small changes can influence the next step of care.
My goal is not simply to provide treatment.
My goal is to help you understand your body, support its natural ability to recover, and work together with you throughout your healing journey.
